Go Tell It on the Mountain has been a consistently strong seller since its release in 2006. The lyrical melody sung by the women is contrasted with an ostinato in the men’s part that adds a rhythmic vitality that is sure to put anyone in the holiday spirit.  The whole effect is enhanced by the addition of simple percussion parts. (Divisi among the women is limited to a few bars and the men’s divisi appears primarily in the ostinato whose repetitive nature makes learning it a snap.)

Voicing: SSAATTBB; solo soprano (or tenor)
Accompaniment: Unaccompanied with percussion (Perc 1-shaker & claves / Perc 2-bongos & finger cym). Percussion parts included in choral score
Duration: 3:30
Difficulty: Medium
